i know we all have these, but they really should do a fancy box of 5/7/77-5/9/77. people who like/liked the dead but aren't hip to trading would just eat it up and maybe even stay on board for the next release. good shows too.

a huge europe 72 box would be amazing too, but it would be expensive and for hardcores only. but imagine the nice book that would come with it!

i would like...

bct 72
sept 72
may 74

also...

something primal from 68
something with acoustic and electric sets from 70
something from fall/winter 71 (forum?)
red rocks 78 (they could make this look nice)
summer 89 dvd box

If they did any of those good 70's or 80's runs, the 3-disc version would probably sell well, esp if they were the best of the runs.

They should also sell a 3-disc version for $25 not $35, if if it means to lose the deluxe packaging.

I was also thinkings Red Rocks 78. Only two shows and easily collectible, so not really in great demand. These box sets have tended to be historic runs of shows, though not all that difficult to collect; I think many of us had the Fillmore West 69 run before the box set came out and probably have at least one or two of the three shows in this box. However, the sound on these box sets is fantastic. I imagine the sound on these Winterland 73 shows will be excellent too. For future releases, they should focus on runs that are either A) uncirculated or partially circulated OR B) circulated in poor quality.

I just had a thought... how awesome would it be if we were to give back to the band in the format of shows that we have but are, for whatever reason, absent from the vault. Imagine sending the boys a copy of a show that isn't in the vault to listen to... I wonder if they listen to shows at all... I digress...

Anyway, more box sets, please... but, spread 'em out; it's getting harder to convince the wife that I need to keep buying these things.
